Hey, I’m Joanne!

Dogs have always been a big part of my life ever since I was a baby. The house just never felt right without a four-legged friend running to the door to meet you when you arrived home or underneath your feet while you eat dinner. (Are you shaking your head in unison?)

But, it wasn’t until I got involved in dog rescue that my photography journey began.

I was inspired by my entertainment background to help adoptable dogs be seen and valued through beautiful imagery. When you are a talent, great photos get you booked. I wanted to apply that same methodology to our amazing shelter pups at WakeGov Pets in the hopes it would help get them out of the shelter and into a loving home. Little did I know that picking up a camera would blend two of my absolute loves in the whole world - dogs and photography.

Over the past few years, I’ve photographed well over 700 dogs (honestly, I’ve lost count!) of all ages, shapes, sizes, breeds, and energy levels.

Now, I joke that I get paid in sloppy kisses, tail wags, and dog hair, which I wouldn’t trade in for the world.
