What Students Are Saying
I truly have nothing but the highest praise and appreciation for all that Joanne does for animal shelters and local rescues. Instructing others on how to best capture an animal’s sparkle is truly an art form. She was not just professional and superbly talented, but fun to work with, never obtrusive, always smiling and seemed to be truly enjoying the DIY Dogtography seminar with us. I would highly recommend the workshop!

I am a new volunteer at an animal shelter and signed up for this class because I want to help promote the animals in the best way possible. DIY Dogtography was a tremendous help! Joanne provided excellent tips on lighting as well as how to use the environment around you to get great photos. I love that she also covered vital topics, such as dog body language, behavior, and so much more. I highly recommend taking one of her classes - great photos can help save lives!

I attended Joanne’s DIY Dogtography virtual course this week and I’d definitely recommend it. I’m a dog mom and a foster dog mom so I take a ton of pictures for fun but also for marketing the foster dogs to try to find forever families. It isn’t always easy to get great pics so I thought it would be helpful to take the class. Joanne made the content easy to understand and for use with a smartphone camera since most of us don’t have a fancy camera or the skills to use one. Plus, there’s a free guide we can reference! I enjoyed the class & walked away with several great tips to take better pics of my dogs!
